In 1994 Böhm consciously made use of a photobooth to create a mastercopy for his Copy Art projects.
The resulting photo series was inspired by Francis Bacon's material (selfportraits on photos and a still from Battleship Potemkin). The trigger for this was Böhm's glasses breaking while he was looking for accommodation in Tübingen. A copy of One Eye 4 is on the front of the flyer Bekannt verzogen which contained Böhm's new address.

These pictures just one eye, later called One Eye 1-4, are repeatedly used together or individually in some of Böhm's other works (e.g. in Portrait of the artist as a young man), mostly however in photocopied form as in Collage on wood, or as in Bekannt verzogen (see above).
